Zipp
Pam,
My name is Jimmy Johnson. I got a
puppy from you on 4/18/2011. I named him "Zipp". My heeler before him
jumped out of my truck and I came to you to get another heeler. I just
wanted to let you know that we've been doing training on Sundays since
he was a puppy. He listens really well and is super smart. He's also a
great watch dog for my welding truck since he goes with me every day
to work.
You also sold Zipp's brother to Kenneth Williams. He's a few miles up
the road from me and he brings Koda by to play with Zipp.
I wanted to send you some pictures and give you an update.
Thanks for Zipp. He's an awesome dog. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Stay Cool,
Jimmy Johnson

Nala
Hi Pam just thought I would send you a
quick email about Nala. She has quickly become the apple of my eye. We
have bonded so well and I love her to death. I probably spoil her a
little too much but I'm sure she doesn't mind. We have visited the vet
regularly and are up to dates on shots and the next step will be
getting her fixed. I plan to wait until early next year until all the
hustle and bustle of the holidays are over. I will let you know when I
do decide to get her fixed so I can get the papers sent to you. I will
stay in touch and as soon as I can find out how to get these pictures
off my phone and on here I will send you some. She has really turned
heads around here and is turning into such a sweet and beautiful dog.
Thanks so much, Travis

Ringo
Hi, Pam--I thought you might like an update on
Ringo.
He's the sweetest little dog, has boundless
energy and is a real joy to have around. He now weighs 36 lbs and
has filled out beautifully. He loves our expeditions to the beach,
bay side park,
and our friend's farm, but his favorite thing of all is hanging out
at home with Henry and me. I've been working with him to ring jingle
bells when he wants to go outside and do his business. He is now a
little monster who rings the bells whenever he wants to go outside
to play! His favorite toys are his jolly ball and anything that
squeaks. He spends his first 10 minutes every morning squeaking
whatever he can as loudly as possible! At night, he jumps into bed
with us and sleeps at our feet until we turn off the lights. Then he
goes to his bed and snores the night away.
We recently rescued a seven-year-old female
dog named Juneau
who is a cattle dog mix. She and Ringo are best buddies. They share
everything without any problems and he loves having her around.
Even though Ringo loves Henry, he is
definitely a mama's boy. He's not very affectionate unless he's very
tired, but he does run to me for protection when he hears a loud
noise. He doesn't do well with strangers, and is very protective of
us and our home. We are working on getting him more socialized.
We really love our little doggie, and we can't thank you enough.
I've attached a couple of pictures from our morning at the beach
yesterday for you to enjoy
Thanks,
Karen Barnaby.

Mauser
We were the couple who got your 5 month old puppy last
Saturday. We have name him Mauser. Mauser has been to the vet
and his wt was 20 lbs, he got his rabies shot, follow up worming
and has begun the Sentinel heartworm program and he is scheduled
for neutering in 30 days. Of course he is in excellent health.
We have now gotten into a routine schedule after a couple of
false starts by us. Mauser is a dream because of your
basic training program. We finally figured out the fact
that he needed to be kept to a similar schedule as your,
consequently we have a morning routine and evening routine for
feeding and exercise/training. The main points for choosing an
older puppy from a great kennel are quite simple. He is crate
trained already, he walks on a leash well, he understands sit,
he understands grooming, he generally comes when called. We
both took a little while to realize what to expect of each other
and the house training is all but complete. The only small
concern we have and will work through in time is he is slightly
skittish with outside sounds, especially vehicles. If you have
any suggestions in this area I welcome your comments. We
believe it may be due to your location and area. Regardless he
is a dream. Thank you for having all that skill and knowledge
for raising a well balanced puppy.
I will send pictures later.

Lollie
Hi Pam --
I can't believe so much time has passed since i first contacted you
about adopting one of your pups.
You hand picked a Beautiful little girl for our family and you have
to know we have just been thrilled with her.
Since our move to Calgary, AB we have been pleasantly surprised at
how many Blue Heelers and "Heeler mixes" we run into at the off-lead
dog parks.
Lollie has matured in a wonderful playmate for our kids and a
brilliant and very consistent running partner for me.
She is very well behaved thanks to obedience classes and i
socialize her constantly in fact people are always amazed at how
out-going and friendly she is especially, those that know the breed.
It is true ... she has her quirks but then again -- don't we all.
I just wanted to send you a couple of photos so you can see for
yourself how well she is doing and how very much we love her.
Hope this letter finds you well ... I took a quick peek at your
available pups Gorgeous as ever !!!
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a lovely New Year.
All the Best to you and yours -- Lourdes Gutierrez-Kellam

08/18/10 Boomer
Hello Pam I am sending you a wonderful photo of Boomer.
He will be turning 1 year old in a few weeks. I have only owned him
for 2 1/2 months. He was close to 10 months old when I purchased him
from you. It was LOVE at first site!!! Although my husband was set on
the younger puppy I insisted that there was something so very special
about that little red speckled older male puppy. After discussing and
convincing my husband that the older red now named Boomer was the BEST
choice, we chose him to go home with us. Boomer short for boomerang
has adjusted to my home life exceptionally well. And so quick with the
crate training
and house breaking. He learned the doggie door in lightning speed!!!He
learned stairs just as quick. He is my little goldfish!!! As you can
see he loves his pool. Toys are also a favorite. I guess I am a
favorite of his as well. He loves to play fetch and has so many
clownish ways that he makes us laugh when he plays. I had him neutered
as per your contract, 1 week after being with us. That was a little
hard on him being away from us for the day. Well no, it was harder on
me, I didn't think the day would end so I could see him again. Since I
am a dog groomer Boomer was groomed professionally the day I got him.
He did fabulous for everything. From the bath to nail clipping,
brushing and combing, to standing on the grooming table and being
dried with a very large
hair dryer. What a little trooper he was. Just call me a
perfectionist, I just thought he needed a day at the spa so he could
bond with me better after leaving his first human "mom" so he could go
to his new life with me. I can't thank you enough for him. I love him
more than you could imagine!! As he matures and I can trust him more,
since he still has a lot of puppy in him, he WILL be sleeping in bed
at night. Please feel free to use me as a reference because I will
tell everyone that calls look at any of the older puppies if she has
one. They are the BEST!!! Don't pass over the older puppy just to
pick the cutesie little one. The older puppy will adore you and bond
so much quicker because it is older and more mature. Yes the little
ones are just as cute but I would take Boomer all over again if I had
to do it over. Thank You again for my Boomer and I can assure you he
is being VERY spoiled!!! J.L. in Buffalo Jct. Va.

Juneau
Hi Pam! I've been meaning to write this for a while... We were at
your place in Dec 2008 and after a lot of contemplation, we went home
with a 4 month old little blue girl we named Juneau (I think she was
called "kanga" at your home). I have to tell you that she has been
the best blessing to our home over the last year! She is incredibly
smart and loving -- she truly has exceeded our expectations. She has
learned so many things -- I think that she may have the most
personality of any dog I've ever been around. She loves her family,
loves learning, and herding anything she can possibly get to. She is
in charge of getting things moving around the house, including us most
days! We truly love her so much. We came to your place after losing
our 10 year old ACD mix and Juneau has filled our hearts.
We are currently enrolled in agility
classes and look forward to challenging this dog. She's incredibly
smart and bored very easily, but we are working on ways to keep her
challenged and motivated. She's integrated herself into our family
with ease, and is in charge of keeping watch of us as well as
re-organizing everything in the house.
I have to say that we will be back and will refer others to your dogs
and your stock. Thank you for this great addition to our family, and
for all of the laughs that this one provides. Thanks so much! We'll
see you in a while!

Mallory Jarrell
Wheeler
Hello Pam!
Happy New Year! Hope you and your family are doing well!
My husband Alex and I got a pup from you about 10 months ago
now; the litter was born exactly one year ago, we celebrated Wheeler's
first birthday yesterday! I thought I'd check back in with you!
I have never seen a sweeter, smarter, prettier dog! He is our
pride and joy!
Wheeler goes everywhere we go! He loves going camping, four-wheeling
trips, the beach, and frisbee is his favorite - you should see this
dog jump! He already knows tons of tricks, and we're signing him up
for agility in the spring. And he is so social; we always have lots of
people (and their dogs!) over at the house, and Wheeler is always the
life of the party! I believe the term you used was "full of himself"
when we picked him up - well that is still the case! He is spoiled
rotten, but that's ok. If there is such a thing as an animal soulmate,
he is mine.
I recommend blueheelersareus anytime someone asks where I got
such a gorgeous and smart dog!
Thank you, Pam, for blessing us with such a sweet boy!
I attached some pics of our sweet one-year old!
Sincerely, Mallory Jarrell SHARP International

Kora
Pam,
Well it's been almost
a week since we picked up Kora from you and wanted to give you a quick
update. Kora is an absolute sweetheart and has a very kind,
gentle personality. Keiah is still my "Wild Child", but the two
together are absolutely great together. They run, wrestle, nip and
play with each other all day long and take frequent naps together as
well. Picking up Kora was a great addition to our family and is
greatly appreciated!

Copper
Hey this is Nikki and Copper from
Brunswick, Ga. I was updating you on my awesome
red heeler I
bought from you. Ouachita Copper Cue (Copper) is 5 months now and is
rotten. He loves unrolling the
toilet paper,
stealing socks, and cuddling. Copper has been a great addition after
I lost my Best Friend
and blue heeler Tuff after 14 years, RIP. Copper and my Corgi, Taser,
have been trying to figure who's gonna be the dominant one, but they
play like brothers. Thank you soo much for my new furkid!! I hope to
be a repeat buyer. Nikki

We bought a red cattle dog female
from you about 4 months ago and we just wanted to let you know that
she is doing great. She is about 5 months old now and about 25 pds.
She likes to play fetch, ride in trucks, pull toilet paper off the
roll, and eat grass. She is very loyal and protective. She is very
smart and a great dog all around. Thank you so much for our beautiful
dog.

Mrs. Phillips,
This is Ellen Crowder, I'm Scott Crowder's daughter. We just
bought a puppy from you about a month ago, and we wanted to give you
an update. We named her Lucy, but often calling her by our
old dog Shelia.
She has been growing like a water weed these past four weeks.
She knows how to fetch, after much hard work. Lucy loves to lay on
the beds, especially mine! She is into everything and very
curious. Lucy has definitely brightened up our world after much
sadness. If it weren't for you, well, it would be a sad, sad sight
around here. After losing our 13 year old cattle dog, it felt
like our hearts we just empty, but Lucy has taken the edge off of
things.. Thank you for all that you do, and you can expect
repeat business from us again.
Sincerely,
Scott, Marcia, Ellen, and Lucy Crowder.

Cathy Lyon
Hi Pam,
I bet
you wonder sometimes what happened to the
Calif. bound
puppy (GRANT LANES BLUE
MAGIC). He is all grown up and so far I have lived through it.
He passed his puppy class a long time ago but shortly after I broke my
neck, so we are a little behind. This coming Wednesday we start the
hard core obedience training. I "plan" on having his first title by
the end of this year. Then we will go on to his CDX and then his
title in Rally. I really want to title him in agility but that takes
a lot of running with the dog of which I cannot do at this time. IQ is
a great dog, he doesn't quite live up to this nickname but we are
working on it. He has one speed-run, so obedience is hard for him
because he wants to do it at a dead run. If he ever stops long enough
I will get a picture of him. He turned out to be the perfect size,
not to big but not small either. He has a very broad head which makes
him look all boy. We love him to pieces. Hope all is well with you and
yours.

The Walker's
We got Keiah about a
month ago from you and she has taken great to our family and all
that have visited us. While it is extremely hot outside right now,
Keiah still loves to go out in the yard and run around with all the
kids. She recently had her
first trip to the
beach and she absolutely loved it. Plenty of room to run and
a ton of sand to dig around in, while cooling off in the water.
Seems her favorite thing to do after being outside on these hot days
is just to lay on an air conditioning vent and cool off. I know she
has much more to learn, but in just one months time, she has learned
more than I could have imagined!
Thanks again and we
will send you another update soon!

Hunter Law
My name is Hunter
Law, and I purchase a male, half mask from you back in Feb. I named
him Wyatt, and he is a little over 6 months old. He is a great looking
dog, and people constantly compliment me on him. I am in real estate,
and take him everywhere with me, people love him. I have referred
several people to you, who ask me where I got him. He also amazes me
with his abilities, and loyalty. I have always had dogs, but have
never seen one do the things he does. I live on the bay, and he loves
the water. He has actually catches fish out of the bay. He is huge,
and right now is over 35 pounds. I have attached a couple photos of
him. Thanks again and I will keep recommending you. By the way, I also
appreciate all of the help you gave me, with questions I had, when I
first got him.

Clarence in Big Timber Montana
Howdy
Pam just a quick note to let you know that my red boy "Tuff" is coming
along just fine. He helps me with the sort the steers and got the
whole herding thing down real good. He is a real good boy and a big
help here on the ranch in Montana. I think I want another one sometime
soon. I will call you when I am ready. I just have to fine tune Tuff
so he can train a younger pup. |
|
Rebecca and Bindi, Richmond Virginia
Pam first I want to say that you breed wonderful dogs. I have had my
puppy for 3 days now and she is soooo great! I contacted you with
regards to the purchase of a blue female. I wanted an 8 week old baby
and you didn't have but 3 teenage puppies. I said that " I only wanted
a younger pup so that I could bond with it" You talked to me about
coming out to see the older puppies and how nice they were. To come
visit and see your adults. You also told me that if I didn't like the
fact of getting an older pup that I could wait for the next litter.
Well I drove the 6 hours to your place. I was just coming to look at
your adults and get myself prepared to plan for one of your upcoming
litters. I feel in love with the teenagers and you explained to me ALL
the benefits of getting an older puppy verses one that is younger The
puppy that I bought just had the sweetest look on her face. If I had
more room I surely would have taken a second, but I will wait This
girl is so smart! She is crate trained, Never potties in her crate or
the house, sleeping thru the night, coming when called (well almost
all the time) and a number of other great things. I would tell anyone
that asks, which is better an older puppy verses an 8 week old
pooping, peeing, crying machine? Take the older puppy they bond just
as fast if not faster, and they are so much fun because you are not
constantly cleaning up messes, taking things out of their mouths and
you get the point. You are right younger puppies are A LOT of work. I
am just so glad that I came for a visit and feel in love with my girl.
I will tell anyone I know about getting a teenager and how great it
is. Thank you for explaining all the positive things about teenage
puppies. You have now spoiled me with puppyhood being all to easy.

Thanks Jessica, Joe, Roo (blue female), & Cutter (red male), Bangor,
Pa.
Pam just to let you know I am very happy with the cattle dogs puppies
I got from you. They are GREAT! I called you inquiring about your dogs
wanting a specific type and look of a proper cattle dog. I am very
picky about my dogs as I had first told you and I gave you a lot of
info as to my knowledge of the breed. The reason I am like this is
because I have owned, trained, shown, and have done herding with my
dogs for 20 years. I have done cattle dog rescue in the past but had
to give that up as it is very time consuming and very sad to deal
with. I have been very successful in the obedience ring, ranking in
the top ten several times with my dogs. All my dogs have been
certified therapy dogs/CGC and herding instinct certified as well.
They are also my constant companions and get more than enough
spoiling! So I am very knowledgeable about the breed and what I want
in a dog. Unfortunately the puppy mills are not far from me and having
to see this type of poor quality, poor health and overall bad
conformation/temperament, I want QUALITY, so that is what led me to
you. Having lost 5 dogs in 16 months (all to age, and one to a fast
spreading spinal tumor) my house was very empty with only 3 cattle
dogs, and 1 welsh corgi. Having just lost my 9 1/2 year old beloved
best friend to a spinal tumor (did the MRI and spent lots of $ trying
to save her, but nothing can replace a friend) I needed a puppy to
fill the big void in my heart. I contacted you and you were very
pleasant to deal with, as I am sure I drove you crazy with all of my
questions. You e-mailed me photos. I wanted a red speckled female with
solid red ears, you had a red speckled male with red ears, and a blue
speckled female with a mask (I only like dark ears). After seeing the
photos of the two puppies, I bought the 2 of them, my first puppy with
a mask and I can say she is BEAUTIFUL! We arranged for you to ship
them to me and was I surprised when I opened the crate at the airport.
They were nothing like the pictures! They were far better than I ever
expected, the photos did not do them any justice. You have made my
husband and I so happy with these 2 puppies that I am also waiting for
a puppy (or 2) from an upcoming litter. Again I'm being very choosey
in what I am looking for. And again I am sure you will know what I
want. I will get my next pup(s) from you. You can NEVER have TOO many
Cattle Dogs! |

What a wonderful dog. We purchased our dog from Pam Phillips in
October of 2006. We love Harley, he is an amazing dog. We are looking
forward to getting a female for Harley. I would encourage people to
get their cattle dogs from Pam. What a wonderful breeder, she really
loves her dogs.

Tricia Hinshaw and family
Hi Pam,
I just wanted to let you know how much we love our Blue Sam. It's been
about 2 years since we brought him home and he is the kindest, most
loving pet we could ever ask for. For the first year he drove us crazy
mouthing at us and trying to herd the kids. But, one day he decided to
calm down and ever since then he has been gentle and well mannered. He
loves to go wherever the kids are and watches over them. I never worry
about aggression with him. He is very mentally stable. Thank you so
much for breeding such a wonderful family pet for us.
